Age grading drives everything — a 3+ product and a 0–3 product are different factories' work.

Plush and wooden toys typically start at 500–1,000 pieces per SKU. Injection moulded toys need tooling of USD 3,000–20,000 per cavity set and MOQ 2,000–5,000. Board games are print-driven: 1,000–2,000 units. Development takes 6–10 weeks; production 45–70 days.

Most toys classify under HS 9503 and 9504. Duty into the US is frequently zero or low for HS 9503, and the EU/UK apply modest rates, so freight and packaging cube usually dominate. Toys are voluminous — negotiate on carton dimensions and master-carton fill, not just FOB.
