Garden and Outdoor Living Products from ASEAN 2026

Sourcing garden furniture, planters, tools and outdoor decor from Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand — materials, weathering tests and container planning.

Category strengths by country

Vietnam leads on outdoor furniture in acacia, rattan and aluminium with synthetic wicker. Indonesia is strong in teak, natural fibres and terracotta or ceramic planters. Thailand contributes metal garden tools, fittings and moulded plastic products. Most seasonal garden ranges can be built entirely within ASEAN.

Weathering is the whole game

Outdoor goods fail after they ship, not before. Insist on UV exposure testing on synthetic wicker and coatings, salt spray on metal frames and fasteners, moisture content limits on timber and, for teak and acacia, FSC or legality documentation for EUDR and Lacey Act exposure.

Seasonal planning

Garden retail is unforgiving on dates. Book production capacity by September for a spring landing, allow 45 to 60 days ocean transit to Europe or North America, and keep a defined cut-off after which you switch remaining volume to a later drop rather than air freighting bulky furniture.

Container efficiency

Volume, not weight, sets your freight cost. Knock-down design, nested planters and revised carton dimensions routinely improve container fill by 15 to 25%, which usually saves more than another round of unit-price negotiation.

Working with TUSKO

We qualify factories, control timber legality documentation, run weathering validation before volume and consolidate mixed-supplier ranges into full containers under one contract. Send your range plan for a landed-cost model.
