Most of the world's technical backpacks, tents and outdoor apparel are sewn in Vietnam and Cambodia. Thailand supplies fitness accessories, cycling components and rubber-based products. For emerging brands, the challenge is not finding capacity — it is reaching factories that accept realistic order sizes without compromising specification.

Where brands get burned
Fabric substitution between sample and bulk, skipped waterproof testing on seam-sealed products, and zipper/hardware downgrades are the three classic failures. Locking material specifications with mill certificates and testing bulk fabric against the approved sample — not against memory — is standard practice in a well-run program.
